The German military authorities state that the retreat of the Germans which has been going on for some days is for the purpose of finding better positions for the recuperation of the armies, so as to facilitate their advance Now that the loss of every regi. ment has been made good, the Germans are ready to advance again on Paris as soon as the battles now Proceeding are over.
