The race for the Vice-Commodore's Cup took place on Sunday last. The start was at 9.45, from the "Shanghai Line, thence down tiver round Yangtszepoo Hulk to Port, up to the jetty above High Bank, finishing at the Shanghai Line. Distance, 20 miles. Most of the boats got away very well at the gun, Mayfly being first over the line. Restless rounded the hulk first, with Oistos close up; the rest having already tailed off. The wind, which was fairly fresh from E.8.E. at the commencement, shifted round to the south and eased down alittle; but as the flood was now making, good progress was made.
