In front of this were a large bomb-r of candles on high stands, placed in triangle, the apes being jointed towards the V. Bf. in of the ball was being covered with a bean! worked black pall. On the lid of the coffin were placed the swords, hat, and regalia of the degree of the deceased brethren. The wardens' seats were inthe usual position and the general seating accommodation was each side. The lodge banners were placed on either side of the V. M.

The brethren, wearing aprons and collarettes, motin Lodge and then, headed by V.M. K., John Gsodnow, preceded by the Tyler with drawn sword, marched into the Hall. The service was conducted according to Masonic ritual, brethren paying their last respect to the late brethren in the usual manner, filing round the catafalque three times. The Anthoms were "Among the dead our Brother sleeps," and "Mourn not him whose star has set." The beautiful service was conducted in a very impressive manner, the choir being accompanied by the organist.

After the conclusion of the service the M. K. spoke of the virtues of the deceased brethren, and exhorted all those present always to bury the faults they had found in men's lives, with their bones. He spoke foolingly of both Bro. Bollard and Bro. White, and dealt with their devotion to their families and unbending loyalty to their friends. The 8. W. gave most impressive and eloquent address on Immortality. Ho was followed by the J. W., who paid a tribute to the lives of the brethren. This concluded the ceremony.

0 was net a largo attendance of masons, except of the (nent Consistory No. 1 A and A'S. R, S.J. U.S, but this lodge was well represented. A. number of ladies also attended.
