THE REIGN OF TERROR IN CONSTANTINOPLE — TROOPS

London, Jan. 24.

A telegram from Salonika states that 50,000 German troops have arrived in Constantinople. They are intended to support Enver Pashs, who is governing by terror alone.

Swift and secret executions of Turks suspected of disaffection are of daily occurrence. Twenty-one Turkish officers were thrown into the Bosphorus one night with stones tied round their throats, Before the arrival of the German army there had been many broils between the Turks and Germans.
