Peking, Feb. 14. News from the seat of war—the Chinese seat—continues to be of the most contradictory character. From another source, equally good, we hear that the Government troops have crossed the Yangtze and have driven the rebels away from the heights overlooking Luchow. As a matter of fact Luchow is still in Government hands, and no longer immediately threatened.
