A fatal motor car accident occurred near the junction of Yangtszepoo and Mairhead roads shortly after six o'clock yesterday evening. [t appears that motor car No 157 was proceeding along the Yangtszepoo road in the direction of Hongkew, preceded by tram car also bound towards the Band ap! when near Muirhead road a native lad, nine years of age, suddenly darted out into the roadway, apparently with the object of picking up a ticket or some other object thrown from the window of the tram car, and the motor coming along. he was knocked down and run over. The occupants of the car saw that the lad was badly injured so be was lifted into the motor car and driven to St. Luke's Hospital at once, but he died about an hour after admission from a fracture of the base of the skull.
