Peking, 6th November.

Mr. Uchida, Japanese Minister at Peking, paid a visit to Prince Ching on the 4th inst., and informed his Highness that Baron Komura and himself had been appointed Commissioners to negotiate with the Chinese Commissioners a settlement of the questions pending between China and Japan with regard to Manchuria and other matters.

Prince Ching expressed his satisfaction at the appointment, and informed Mr. Uchida that China will shortly appoint her Commissioners. It is believed that T. E. Prince Ching, Na Tung, and Yuan Shih-kai will be the Commissioners appointed.
