Peking, Dec. 30.
Yesterday Mr. Lin Ting- chen, the principal of the Peking University, impeached the National Assembly, saying that it consisted of common fellows who were exceeding their lawful duties and embarrassing the: country.
An Edict issued to-day instructs the Bureau for the Preparation of Constitutional Government to investigate the charges.
The National Assembly amid much excitement discussed this! incident and forwarded a request! to the Bureau to hand over the Memorial in order that the House might understand the situation.
