General Kuo Sung-lings's forces which had been concentrating in the neighbourhood of Jaoyangho passed through Paichipao last night and advanced on the defence position of the Fengtien armies near Hsin-min fu before daybreak to-day and immediately commenced attacking the advanced post of the Fengtien troops.
