The following is from the "Hongkong. Daily Press" of January 10:—We regret to leora that the Hop. Mr. Rees Davies, x.c., the Attorney General, met. ith " somewhat serious accident while W.|riding at Happy Valley last evening. The pony crossed its lege and fell, throwing its rider heavily to the ground. Dr. Shaw of H.M.S. Tamar happened to be st hand and promptly came to the assistance of Mr. Rees Davies. Dr. Fitzwilliams also was soon in attendance, resume the ranning of trame, as great inconvenience resulted from the inter-ration of communications.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is said to have sent a note to the Diplomatic Corps giving the assurance that fear need be entertained of the spread of the disease southward.
