Miss Emily Moore was summoned for parking a motor car in an unauthorized position in Astor Road, "'in contravention of an order made by the Commissioner of Police."
In reply to his Worship's question as to whether the order had been published, Mr. Maitland said it had not been printed in the "Municipal Gazette," but a big notice was posted up informing motorists "'no cars allowed to park within 20 ft. of this notice."
Defendant, who said she thought she was right in_parking the car as directed by the Astor House watchman, was fined $3.
