A Revival of the Mikado

Lovers of the brightest and merriest of all the Gilbert and Sullivan operas will be pleased to learn that—the ban ing at last been removed—The Mikado is to be heard once more at the Savoy. Unluckily it is too late for the revival to take place this year, a the season closes next week, and in September Messrs. Fedrenne and Barker—who have been so successful in their management at the (curt theatre—take up their abode at the Savoy, but they have arranged with Mrs. D'Oyle Carte for a summer season next year, commencing at the end of April and then The Mikado" will be given. Every one must feel how very rilly all the trouble has been about it as it is said that among the Japanese the music is more popular than that of any other Gilbert and Sullivan opera.
