Out of the committee, a smaller' group composed of five members were appointed to represent the executive body of the organization, These men, Drs. Vu, and Toong, n4 "Chinese representatives the Society's fund, which, derived from the Japanese portion of the Boxer Indemnity Fund, amounts at the present time to ¥. 5,000,000, one half of which has already been apportioned to the library Peking and the remainder to the research institute, Tt is expected that immediate work will begin on the group of $2,000,000 buildings which will be erected by the Society to house the institute, on the Property now available"in Route Ghisi.
Plans are being drawn up the present time, and as soon az possible actual work will be started. Until the buildings are completed, such research work-will be selected in the next} three years will be able to conduct their "scientific studio institutions which the Committee will announce as oon as definite steps towards their selection have been taken.
