The Police fired twice and killed Chinese and wounded 11 when Jerowds got out of hand as a result of excitement attending a demonstration to celebrate the anniversary fof the death of Dr. Sun Yat-sen.
A large party of night scholars formed a procession which blocked the trafic. A European inspector Jand two constables who were trying to clear the congestion were assault ced and compelled to use their trun-cheong. The mob later attempted to rush a Police station and an me spector was severely wounded in the head, whereupon the Police fired the crowd.—Reuter.
