North Honan Road Sewer.—The foundation and invert of the existing 3-ft. by 2-ft, brick sewer between North Soochow Road and Tiendong Road was found to be in such good con: it was decided not to renew it. The arch has been rebuilt in cement and the invert rendered.
Bundings.—The concrete banding on the north-east side of Chekiang Road Bridge is being proceeded with. Considerable difficulty has been experienced with the work owing to the frequent flooding of the cofferdam dus tounaroidable causes.
