Another important medium for publicity under the auspices of the Committee is a large volume now course of preparation, the "British Trades Directory in Chinese." This is designed to be a comprehensive guide to British manufacturers, agents, shippers and merchants, with descriptive articles respecting the goods supplied and handled by them. It will consist of about 400 pages, and 10,000 capi are to be distributed to recommended addresses all over China,
