Strengthened by Addition of HM. S, Vindictive: Two 10,000-ton Cruisers London, Aug. 1
The "Manchester Guardian" reports that the Admiralty have dejeided to send to the China station ithe light cruiser Vindictive instead Jof one of the smaller of the "D" type.
The change will make a huge fence in strength of the Briitsh force in the Far East. It will give ithe British squadron there two 10,000-ton cruisers armed with 7.5~ inch guns. These vessels are superior to any cruising ships in the Jworld at present, but will eclipsed by the new cruisers which all the Powers are building under the Washington Agreement—Reu-ete.
