The adjourned extraordinary general meeting of the above-named Company was bolden Wednesday at the Chamber of Commerce Room. Mr.G.H, Thomson [ates was in the Chsir, There were nearly forty shareholders present, The Chairman, after reading the notice convening the meeting, began to read the report of the Committe appointed to act with the Receiver antu the election of directors, when he was interrupted by Mr. Powell Robinson.
Mr. Robinson:—I rise to make a formal protest. First of all, 1 say that we are not able to discuss business except that on the agenda a the previous meeting.

Wehave been able to clear off certain liabilities contracted in the early stages of the Company's existence by the management for money advanced on loan and an overdraft with the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank, and we start this month with a balance to our credit with ti Bank. There are however, two liabi ties which will have to be cleared off shortly—oneis for interest on the balance of the unpaid purchase money on the land at the Rifle Range, and the other the balance remaining due on the first floor at Dent Road, the amonat being in dispute,
