Sm,—There appeared in your paper, dated August 12, a piece of news, bearing the title Chinese Coal For Europe" and stating as follows; "A great quantity of Chinese coal has recently been transported to Denmark. The total amount is said to be 25,000 tons and it is sold by the Chung Hsing Coal Mining Company, Thsien, Shantung."
As regards this, we have to point out to you that we have not sold such a big quantity of coal to Europe. Probably there would be coal from other collieries mixed.
As to our coal it is well-known through all the world, and its percentage has long been ascertained by the most famous mining engineers and The Shanghai Chemical Laboratory.
Since we have established branch offices at Shanghai, Pukou ete., we like our customers directly to apply to them, getting our analysis, 0 as to avoid any cheating.
