WUCHANG NOTES

Our Waterworks at Last From Our Own Correspondent — Wuchang, Dee. 4

It looks as if at last we are going to get our city water works. A company has been formed with a capital of $400,000 and works are being erected at the southern part of the town near the river bank, I believe the idea is to get the water supply from the middle of the Yangtze, and if the filtration 1 satisfactorily carried out there seems no reason why the inhabi tants should not receive a good supply of fairly pure liquid.
