SOVEREIGN RIGHTS

To the Editor of the "Nonria-Cuiwa Dany News."

Sim—1 wonder how many of us in Britain and America ever heard or used the above phrase: outside Jaw books we knew nothing about it, It was certainly never heard or known in this country a few years ago: now it is glibly repeated by every Chinese Dick, Tom and Ha and not one of them has the fai est notion what it means, If a foreigner walks in the eountry it is a breach of Chinese sover eign rights: in a word, everything that a foreigner devs is' breach of sovereign rights.

If " foreigner personally gives away money to starving famine folk, it is w breach of sovereign rights. There is only one way of avoiding this particular breach and that to hand the mone tionally to the Chi do with as they like without be-+ ing asked to account for it. To ask for un account would be a breach of sovereign rights, The Chinese are making themselves perfectly ridiculous by wild appeals to these rights: which" are rot in any way being assailed by foreign:

Chinese safety sind prosperity He la cultivating the friendship of for~ hot, als at present, by me
