The following is the result of the Jockey Club Stakes, run at the Newmarket First October Meeting on Thursday, September 23 The Jockey Club Stakes of 10,000 sovs.; if sufficient surplus be not obtained from subscriptions to give the second at least 1,500 sovs. and the thirty at least 750 sovs., those amounts to the made up out of the stakes. The nomina-for of the winner to receive 400 sovs. and the nominator of the second 200 sovs. out of the stakes. For three-year-olds and upwards, three-year-olds to carry 8st. 7Ib. and four-year-olds and opmards, Qst. 5 Ib. Distance, the one mile and three quarters of the Cesarewitch Courae.
