Lack of Moslem Organization

Bombay, Dec, 29.

Absence of an organized Moslem: body able to control the masses is the reason for the failure of the efforts of the Viceroy and others to lay the foundation of mutual understanding and inter-communal peace, in the opinion of the Aga Khan, who, amid the dispute in the ranks of the Moslems on the question of the attitude the All-India Moslem League should adopt towards the Statutory Commission and the comminal electorates, has issued a li] manifesto calling on Moslem legislators to- constitute a permanent Moslem governing body to direct the. community's political activity and be in a position to speak authoritatively and enter into binding contracts not only with the Hindus but with the British Government, because "the British will be in India as long as we can see and cannot be spirited away merely by being ignored."—Reuter.
