PRINCESS'S NARROW ESCAPE

From the confused accounts that have been given of the wreck, it is gathered that the Friant's boat which actually took off the Royal party capsized and one of the young' princesses was nearly drowned. She was held up by a sailor, She landed barefooted and was placed on a tor's horse and taken to Spartel where dry clothes were obtained from the people at the lighthouse, There were altogether eight-five first-class passengers on the Delhi, nearly one-half of whom were women and children. Seventy of the passengers and crew are still on d the vessel.—Reuter.

The Delhi is the well-known mail steamer and was on.a from London to Bombay. Formerly she ran from Bombay to Shanghai, Ep.
