Beautiful and Varied Bloo ins Shown at Thursday's Exhibition of the Shanghai Horticultural Society A rainy afternoon did not prevent good attendance at the Spring Flower Show of the Shanghai Hor-ti cultural Society on Thursday at the Town Hall. So great a variety of splendid blooms met the eye as to prove again, if such proof is necessary, that Shanghai takes its flower shows seriously and that the gardens of Shanghai have capacities for wonderful results.
'A noteworthy feature of the exhibition was the large number of Chinese who came to see the blooms, whole families making the rounds and appearing to enjoy thoroughly the showing. As usual a very large number of potted plant exhibitors were Chinese members of the Society.
