Tu a report to the Government Council as to the number of Shansi troops now stationed in the Peking-Tientsin area, General Yen Hsi gives the following tabulation:
2 Divisions in the city of Peking: 4 Divisions stationed at various points on the bot Peking-Tientsin 2 Divisions—scattered Tientsin.
1 Division along the railway between Peking and Tientsin.
Altogether a total of 12 Divisions land 1 Brigade of the Shansi. Army I hope the Scissors are sharp enough are now employed to keep law and order round Peking and Tentsin—Kuo Min,
