The Committee's Standpoint

According to members of the Committee of whom inquiries have been made, this is the position. A number of merchants "and others decided that in view of communistic activities, counter "measures must. be taken." They put up their money for this purpose, appointed a committee to decide on what course ind how the money does not matter of the League in the past have been wide and varied. For months they published monthly, 20,000 copies of the ""Constitutionalist" and sent copies to all parts of the world. Money was spent in other forms of propaganda, this meaning in many instances payment "for secret services rendered,'" the nature of which can hardly be divulged, Indeed, we are told, resolutions were passed by the Committee that the accounts must never be published.
