IST'S LESSON

A Sermon Preached in Holy Trinity Cathedral, Shanghai, on.

July 22, 1928, by the Very Rev. Dean A.C.S, Trivett "My cup rumeth over."—Fsalm 23, 5.

So sang the Psalmist:—"My cup runneth over." "When I commit my way unto the Lord. When the Lord is my Shepherd." Not only "shall I not want." Not only there guidance and protection green pastures beside still ware "Yea, through the valley of the shadow of death," "but my cup runneth over." And such is always the bountiful hospitality of the Lord. There is no leanness or meanness in His feast, His provision is never scanty. Nor does He give just enough for our needs. He gives enough and to spare. He fills our cup to the point of running over.

All His dealings with His people are on this bountiful scale. We turn over the pages of this book. There is an abundant fullness in promises, wonderfully illustrating, His love, And God is faithful.

pages, too, we find abundant jony to the fact that, to those She trust Him, He is better than His word. David at one end of the chain and Bt Pant a the other, a army who testify that, they have taken God ae His word and found the cup of their needs filled to overflowing by His gracious hand, to the tide of His love. Its waves itself to die for us upon the Cross.
