Psdoque is now the chief ins ise of the British wounded, Thors correspondent of the "Manchester Guardian," near ly fifty tals in the town and a continual stream of ambulance trains e7 the front. pring ing soldiers for shipment to England. In order to help them through the we arise which inevit ably occurs at the railway station, a few British women, Lady Anuela Forbes, Mrs, Ernest Hatt, Lady Drogheda, Miss Maxine ET: Tiott and others have organized a buffet for the distribution of tea and coffee to the wounded. That this very practical form of charity has been highly appreciated is. proved by the fact that buffets are now being established at many places between the coast and the firing line. Yesterday Boulogne was a cheery, if somewhat vulgar, "watering place": to-day it is a Jink in the golden chain of a great! international friendship.
