The death has occurred, at the Jage of 83, of His Excellency Sir Henry Felix Woods Pasha, K.C.V.0. Sir Henry, who entered the Royal Navy in 1858, was permitted to jenter: the naval service of Turkey in 1870 and assisted the late Hobart} Pasha in the organization of the Turkish fleet. He organized the torpedo and const-defence services jand commended them for several years, and also surveyed the Dar-Jdanelies and its approaches.
Sir Henry (then Mr.) Woods, who was made Pasha in 1883, became Naval A.D.C. to the late Sultan and fiater Admiral in the Imperial Ottoman Navy. He was knighted in 1902.—Reuter.
