'The new consolidation will be only excecied in size, as regards assets, by the "Big Five" in England! namely, the Midland Bank, with current, deposit and' other 760,000: Lloyds Bank, Ltd.,—with £8348,500,000; Barclays Bank, Ltd, £$318,000,000: the Westminster Bank, Ltd, £278,000,000 and the National vineial Bank, Ltd., £268,000,000.
