Colonel Roosevelt was most em= photic in expressing his appreciation of the Chinese officials of the Central provinces. His party was very courteously treated by them and by the missionaries. The French Catholic, the China Inland Mission and the Baptist Mission were more than kind.
Colonel Roosevelt concluded the interview by saying that the "North-China Daily News" was the only paper that had interviewed him during his expedition and that he, had met many of the "North-China" correspondents from time to along the Tibet border line.
