The present proceedings against the firm of H. E. Arnhold include three separate and distinct charges under Section LI of the Trading with the Enemy (Amendment) Regulations, 1915, the first and se cond charges coming within subsection 6 of that section, the third under sub-section 1. In the first case it is charged that Mesars. HI. E. Arnhold on or about December 7, 1915, unlawfully did obtain from Messrs. Arnhold, Karberg & Ca. of Hankow, an enemy, certain goods, namely 9,005 gunny bags, contrary to the provisions of Regulation LI of the Trading with the Enemy (Amendment) Regulations, 1915.
