Kongmoon, July 18.
Just as July M4 remains one of the most exciting days in the history of Paris, so July 14 is now destined to be remembered as quite one of the most eventful and thrilling that has occurred in the annals of Kongmoon City and its suburb Pakkai Port, three miles distant, where are situated the Custom House, foreign hongs, and mission hospital.
It had been rumoured for two or three days that Sun Yat-sen's gunboats were going to attack Konzmoon. But as so many false alarms had been going the rounds lately, the majority of people did not cen-sider that the promised invasion would take place Thursday, the 13th, would probably have seen the fight on the following day but for the typhoon, which howled from morn till night.
