Capital to be Made a Model for Other Cities Nanking, May 16.
An important resolution, among others, was passed by the National Opium Suppression Committee in its 38th session held yesterday, at Teng Lung Hong, to the. effect, that the national capital be designated as a model area for opium suppress sion, in accordance with the Suppression Act and Suppression, Regulations, as promulgated by the National Government. Considerable significance is seen to be attached to this resolution, which is aimed to set an example to the whole nation that the work of opium Suppression is to be carried out under all circumstances. In support, tthe work of suppression, it Jearned that another decision was made by the committee to request ious provincial and municipal establish hospitals! fictional areas for addicts,. with a central hospital in Nanking as their model.
