Annual General Meeting enthusiastic gathering of over 30 members attended the annual meeting of the Shanghai Lawn Bowls Club, held on Monday at No, 33 Szechuen Road, Mr. J. D. Gaines presiding.
The accounts having been unanimously adopted, the meeting proceeded to elect its officers for the ensuing year. Sir K, D. Fraser was elected president, anc Mr. O, Crewe Read, -president, The following will serve on_ the conimittee for 192) messrs, F. L. Marshall (Captain), A, Habecost and H, G. Manwaring (joint Hon. Secretaries and Treasurers), W-Gater, F. C. Banham A. Tayloy C. W. Porter and J. J. Sheridan, Mr. Gaines, who is shortly leaving for Home, expressed, his regret perting with the Club probably for good, as he is unlikely to return to the East.
It was announced that a dinner would be held in honour of the Chairman on the eve of his de parture, at the Shanghai Club, on Monday, April 25.
