General Yamanashi, who started off for Manchuria yesterday on a mission, so it was reported, for the Prime Minister, has cancelled his plans and is returning to Tokyo.
Whether his intention of proc ing to Manchuria has been definitely given up or whether it has been merely postponed §s not known, but it Is confirmed that the General interviewed Prince Saionji, the '"Blder Statesman," at Kyoto, and it believed that the conversation resulted in General Yamanashi's decision to return to Tokyo.
