British gilt-edged securities are now coming within the orbit of the American stock-buying craze, Following the recent listing on the New York Stock Exchange of the two premier British Govern ment stocks, namely, the per cent, War Loan and the 4 per cent. Funding Loan, these securities have risen rapidly in London, particularly the Funding Loan, which stood at £88-1/2 a fortnight ago and today reached £93, largely under the influence of American buying Reuter.
