Some shells yesterday took the direction of the Astor House and slightly to the north, there being' tone reported casualty.
The casualty occurred on Broadway, where a shell exploded, killing a Chinese. Another shell carried Across the river to Pootung. while yet another landed in the Whang-oe near the Italian cruiser Libia.
At the Astor House all the guests were assembled in the lobby. because of the menace of a host of screaming missiles overhead. Nothing, however, landed near the hotel.
