'The annual meeting of the Bukit] Toh Along Estates, Ltd. was held on Thursday in the offices of the Secretaries and general managers, Messrs. J. A. Wattie & Ca., 10 Canton Road. Mr. AI. The chairman said:
The profit for the period under review was Tls. 36,712.99, as compared with Tls. 165,490.40, for the] previous year.
This reduction is accounted for, firstly, by the reduced crop, which was 321,482 Ib, as compared with 500,848 Ib, secondly, by the increased cost by reason of the decreased crop, This year the cost was 10.674, and last year 8d., and thirdly, by the decrease on the average selling price which Was 1/4.574, as compared with 1/6.554. last year. The exportable stock on wren 81 has been valued at prices since: realized, whilst that in excess of the export allowance has been. valued at the bare cost of tapping: and manufacture.
