The ceremony of the inauguration of Mr. Chan Chih-yn as provisional Civil Governor of Kuangtung took place at noon to-day,
formally resumed the post of Com while General Chen Ching ming mander-in-Chief.
Admiral Tan Ting-kang has announced his retirement as Commander of the Chinese naval forces, now stationed at Canton, but the officers of the Navy are urging him to continue in office until the Fleet leaves for the North, which is expected soon.—Reuter.
