The Congress rejected yesterday an amendment to omit the express sion of appreciation for the sincerity contained in the resolution submitted to the Congress by the well-known Nation:
Gandhi Mr, Gandhi said that if they agreed to the amendment, they had better hound him (Gandhi) from the Congress.
The delegates dispersed ut mid-ight, when the president, ° HI wwatlal Nehru, wished them 9 happy New Year and expressed the hope that their independence pi gramme would be a success.
The proceedings ended wit lunteors crying, "Up with the National Flag! Down with the Union Sack!"
