New First Class Cricket Record

Don Bradman, the young Austral ian batsman, has established a new world's batting record by making 452 not out while playing for New South Wales against Queensland.

For many years the great Lancashire cricketer, A. ©. MacLaren libeld the record for a score in a first-class match with 424, but after this had remained a record for 27 years it was just beaten by the Victoria cricketer W. H. Ponsford, who made 429 for against Tasmania in 1922.
