Before an audience that took every available- seat and stood up round the edges the A. D. @. of the Public School for Boys presented Shakespear's "Julius Casan" in highly creditable fashion on Monday afternoon in the school hall. This is the third production of this organization which has been in existence for a little over year, thanks to Mrs. S. Here ani other members of the school stati, the earlier shows being "The Merchant of Venice" and "She Stoops to Conquer." The play will be repeated to-night ab nine.
Clear-voiced and line-perfect, these youthful actors carried through a smoothly-running production, which rea¢hed a high level of stage management and costuming. Credit for the last item is due largely to Mrs. E. Ford, who acted as "Lady of the Wardrobe" and arranged for costumes costing $355. Returns from the performances are expected to cover this and the cost of production, Other members of the staff who have given much time and attention to this play are Mr. Here, producer and stage manager, Mr. R. Ross, properties, Mr. J. Pringle, musical director, and Mr. D. Drake, bustness manager. Mention should be made of the school string orchestra which entertained the audience be: tween the acts with excellently rendered selections.
