Mme. Chiang Kai-shek on Legislative Yuan Committee Nanking, Oct. 31.
At the meeting of the Political Council here to-day Madame Chiang Kai-shek, formerly Miss Mei-ing Soong, who is the sister of Madame. Sun Yat-sen and Mr. T. V. Soong, Minister of Finance, was appointed a member of the Legislative Yuan Committee. The other members of the committee include such notable. men us Mr. Wang Shih-chieh, former Director of the Law Codification Bureau, and the famous economist, Mr. Ma Ying-chu.
The members of the provincial political councils of Szechuan, Fang, and: Kiangeu were also appointed at the meeting. The new appointments indicate in many ways the policy of the National Government in the above provinces. This ig especially true in the ease of szechuen and Sinkiang, for up till this moment it was not quite certain whether the Nanking author ties would use force or political means to settle the issues in those
