The Democrat nominee for the Presidency, Governor "AI" Smith, received a welcome to-day from this, city, the Republican stronghold of Pennsylvanin, which was quite as uproarious, even if not more so, than that accorded him by Boston earlier in the week, The streets were filled with an immense crowd, shouting and tooting horns. a speech Governor Smith affirmed his stand on the tariff question and reiterated that, business—big and little—had nothing to fear from a Democratic success.—Reuter.
