Sm—I am surprised that the Council should sanction an increase jin bus fares in view of the fact that they were increased something, over a year ago to the extent of 23 1/8 per cent. in my case. I used to pay 16 coppers to come to town, whereas I'am now paying 22, Inasmuch as the garages are decreasing their rates of hire, I am of the opinion that the proposed in-entirely unwarranted, especially during these hard times.
trust that some abler pen than mine will take up this matter, also the Chinese members of the various Chinese organizations, as it will be the Chinese who will suffer most in, this connection.
