Hankow, March 6, According to Article 26 of the Municipal Rewulations now in force, in the ex-British Concession Hankow, the annual general meet~ ing of ratepayers must be held during the month of March. We are already well into that month and notice of the date of the meeting has yet been issued and the annual report and accounts have not been circulated.
The list of persons entitled to vote at the annual meeting was issued yoks ago. Tt shows that tha of votes held by lot holders increased from 703 to 723, all the new votes being in the hands of fereigzers. The number of votoa held by' tenants has inerewsed from, to 109, and of these 40 are held by foreigners and 69 by Chinese, The increase in the number 96 voters is therefore comparatively, negligible, Looking up the records one finds that the schedule used to run om approximately these lines from year to year.
