An ambitious three-year sugar refining plan has been mapped out for Kuangtung by. the" provincial authorities, Under the scheme, Kuangtung en of 16,500 mow for sugar-cane planting in the first year, and 16,500 mow in the second and third years.
The capital for the first year is expected to total $640,000, and for the next two years $1,000,600, while expenses in "connection ' with the construction "of sugar - refining: plants are scheduled to reach U.S, $1,450,000, in the first and. second years and U.S. $2,175,000 in the third year.—Reuter.
