Dutch Indies

London, Apr. 16.

A scheme promoted by the Federation of British Industries for ce-operative representation of British manufacturers in the Dutch Indies promises to become a success. Mr. R. Neil Williams will be the representative who will take charge of the interests of the firms. concerned and will leave for Java on April 27.

It was originally proposed that the scheme should include 30 manufacturers, but in view of the size and importance of the firms who have joined and the desire to make the representation of each firm as efficient as possible, it has now been decided to reduce the membership to' 20.—Reuter.
